The person behind the code

I'm a software engineer who cares about the business behind the code. Businesses don't come to me for an app or a website for its own sake. They come because they want to run smoother, get found online and win more customers, and I build with that in mind.

At iLabAfrica, I build software for corporate organizations and government institutions, where reliability and getting the details right matter. Alongside that, I'm a Developer at Exoticepz Limited, working on software and digital projects.

I also work on the side of the business people see first. I design and build professional websites, and I do marketing, branding and SEO to help businesses show up in search results, reach more of the right people and turn that attention into clients. A well-built product only helps if customers can find it and trust it.

That mix is what I bring to a project. I start by understanding how your business works and what you're trying to achieve. Then I build the software or website, and I help you get it in front of your customers. I'm comfortable on both the technical and the business side, so you don't have to translate between the two.

I'm also a Teaching Assistant for the Software Development class at iLabAfrica. I help students understand programming concepts, debug their code and work through technical problems. I lead some sections too, especially for students who are struggling, so they can catch up and gain confidence. Explaining things clearly is a skill I use with clients as well.

Outside work, I mentor students from underserved communities, including students at Nkaimurunya High School, and I run the Women in Tech chapter at Multimedia University. I want people to build real tech skills and feel confident about the opportunities open to them. Technology should create opportunity, and that belief shapes the work I take on.
